Congratulations to Lacey Fischer, 18, who won two prestigious awards at the New Brunswick Highland Games & Scottish Festival, July 25-26, 2009. As the overall winner of the Highland Dancing competitions on both Saturday and Sunday, Fischer was awarded the Rev. Ivan C. Murray Memorial "Dancer of the Day" trophy, as well as the Kate Gaddess Memorial trophy. Fischer was also a member of the winning choreography team, which included Alicia Webster and Lindsay Munro.
Additional College dancers who successfully competed over the two-day event included Hayley Porter, Siobhan Doyle and Danielle Chiarotto. Congratulations to all dancers!
