Hire a Piper, a Dancer or a Whole Show!

Have Pipes, Will Travel!

The College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada has been promoting and preserving Celtic culture and heritage on Prince Edward Island by offering instruction in traditional Celtic disciplines since 1990.

hire a piperThe College programs provide a unique opportunity for personal growth and serve as a unique training ground for aspiring performers. College faculty, students and guest artists collaborate to produce an atmosphere that is representative of our vibrant Celtic culture. Over 70% of Prince Edward Island's population trace their ancestry to Scotland and Ireland. World-class facilities and instruction and an excellent track record for first-class entertainment position The College as a leader in Celtic festival and event promotion in eastern Canada.

The College of Piping has many possibilities for entertainment ranging from a solo piper to our full cast of "Ceilidh on the Road", and anything in between. Our Ceilidh (pronounced 'kay-lee' is a Gaelic word for a social gathering with music, dancing and storytelling) includes components such as bagpiping, fiddling, step dancing, Highland dancing, drumming, Celtic songs and local stories. Performances include any combination of elements and may run any length of time, but are generally about 90 minutes long.

Our pipers have 'piped-in' head table guests, piped many a bride up the aisle of a church and played at many other happy occasions. Some of our pipers have performed on national and international stages, and for politicians and royalty alike.

The grace of our Highland dancers and step dancers will delight you as they perform the traditional and contemporary dances of Celtic heritage.

The College of Piping Pipe Band has performed in many parades, national and international competitions, and a range of social functions. The Pipe Band consists of students, faculty and staff of the College.

The cost depends on what your are looking for and can range between $150 to $3,000 or more.

For further information please contact us at 436-5377 or toll free at 1877-bag-pipe or email us at info@collegeofpiping.com.  We will be more than happy to answer any questions you have.
