Celtic Festival

100% Authentic, Heartfelt Celtic!

Summerside Highland Gathering

The College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada is pleased to present their summer-long Celtic Festival. The Summerside Highland Gathering kicks off the summer on the weekend of June 27-29 with concerts and competitions.

Saturday, June 28 begins a round of competitions in Highland dancing and step dancing at 9 am with registration at 8:30.  Solo events for piping begin Saturday at 8:30 am sharp.  Drumming solos start at 8:30 sharp, as well with Pipe Band competitions beginning Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Massed band events will take place around 5 on Saturday and Sunday.  From tiny dancers to pipe bands- you will see lots of wonderful things at this event.

Highland Storm

The Celtic Concert Series runs through July and August, with our summer production of "Highland Storm" every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night at 7:30.  It's an all new show of music, dancing, piping and drumming with students and faculty.  Choreography will be done by Lindsay Munro, our Highland dance teacher who has won major awards for her work.

Doors open at 7 pm with general seating.  The first three rows are VIP seating. It is an outdoor amphitheatre so take a jacket in case you need it.

Mini Concerts: Behind the Scenes

Monday through Friday all summer long you can experience the thrill of learning a Celtic discipline from one of our faculty or staff during our daytime performance of "Behind the Scenes". If you are traveling as a group, you may be able to enjoy a custom performance and tour. You can take part in our educational programming any timceltic ade of the year. 30 minutes, approximately.

Three shows a day- 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30  Monday to Friday

$5 fee and children 6 and under free. This fee is taken off your admission to "Highland Storm" when you present your receipt.  It's a taster of Highland culture and a great experience for children who are too young for the longer performances at night
